Skábma is an exclusive boutique retreat nestled by the Urho Kekkonen National Park in Saariselkä, Lapland, Finland. A family business and a haven of happiness, Skábma focuses on high quality, community and unhurried comfort through tailored services.

All bookings in Skábma are for the entire log building. Your privacy is always guaranteed – only you and your company are staying inside the thick log walls.

Skábma sleeps up to 14 people. All seven bedrooms have their own bathrooms with toilet and shower, as well as drying cabinets for outdoor clothes after wild Lapland adventures.

Owner and host, local native Kaisu looks after you all day. Kaisu is available 24/7 as she lives only a stone’s throw away from Skábma. You’re in good hands and help is always near.

We’re proud of local Lappish food and the pure ingredients that come from nearby nature. A breakfast buffet each morning is included in every stay in Skábma.

You choose half board or full board – or if you want to alternate between days. We will happily turn Skábma into your private dining room for the night: our chef arrives to prepare and present to you genuine Lappish dishes from local ingredients.

You’re also free to sample local restaurants as you wish. We’re happy to tailor your stay to your requests – we’ll work everything out with you in the booking process.
